Dedication of Stanford Larsen bench to precede awards
Music Department Awards Night will take place on Wednesday, June 3. There will be a dedication ceremony right outside of the school entrance of the Stanford Larsen (NHSS Music Department member, Class of 2006) Memorial Bench at 6:00 pm. The Music Department year-end DVD will be shown in the cafeteria, starting at 6:30 pm, and the presentation of awards will commence at 7:00 pm. The Boosters will be providing light snacks and drinks. All Music Department students and their parents are invited to this annual event -- it's a great way to close a busy year! We hope to see you there.
Music Department DVD and Yearbooks will be Available on Awards Night
It's time to watch the annual Music Department DVD! This yearly tradition sets photos of the events of the year to music, and at the end of the DVD, photos of graduating Seniors as babies and graduates appear. Everyone has fun trying to guess who the Senior in the baby picture could be at the annual Music Department Awards Night. The DVD will be available for purchase at Awards night for only $5. There will also be a limited number of Music Department Yearbooks available that night for only $24.
Parent Meetings on June 9th
Summer Band Optional Apparel Can Now Be Ordered
Spring flowers, warm weather, summer Band season! The first rehearsal of the 2009-2010 Band will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00 pm. The Boosters will be holding a parent info session in the cafeteria at 6:15pm and refreshments will be served -- please join us! Information has been mailed to all band parents. You should have received an order form for optional marching band apparel -- limited edition drill t-shirts and shorts are available this year. Also on that evening will be a very important meeting for parents about the bi-annual Music Department trip -- to DISNEY next year! The Directors will be sharing vital info on trip cost, itinerary, and fund raising opportunities. Please join us at 7:00pm in the auditorium.
Craft Fair Committee Now Forming
The fifth annual Music Booster Craft Fair will take place in November of 2009 and the planning committee is now forming. This is one of our major fund raisers of the year and we really need your help! Barbara Young is heading up the committee and would like all who are interested in helping to email her at youngb@nashuasouthmusic.org.
Shaw's Receipt Rewards has Changed - Now Much Easier
The Shaw's Receipt Rewards program has changed. Instead of saving and passing in receipts, customers can now enroll their Shaw's Rewards card number on the Shaw's website to credit their purchases. All purchases made at Shaw's on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ONLY will count. The Boosters will receive 1% of the sales recorded at any Shaw's or Star Market. That's it, you do nothing else! Complete instructions can be found here. So go ahead and ask your neighbors, your family, and your friends to register their number! Every dollar earned will help the students.

Did you know that some companies donate to organizations that their employees volunteer for? If you volunteer for the Boosters, then your hours may be worth a donation to our organization! Remember that the Boosters are a 501 c(3) nonprofit, and your company's donation will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
